My first week without hair

Well, the first week without hair is almost over. It has been a week full of anxiety and apprehension. But, I think it is getting better. Of course the Xanax the doctor gave me will help!!

Siggy is here making me hats. She knitted the cutest and softest hat for me. It's awesome!! She also made me some sleep hats too that are nice and soft.

More later.

  1. Since this is your "Wishing Well" we're both tossing in a handful of pennies wishing you and Sharon feel the love and hugs being sent to you from Salah and I. We don't love you because of your hair, we love you because of the special person you are. We hope this week will be much easier for you. I'd love to see a photo of you showing off your new hat!

  2. Rhonda,
We have been following your blog since you put it up, sorry it took so long for us to offically join. You guys have been in our thoughts and prayers since we heard about your fight with cancer. Almost the same time we heard about you, my bother was diagnosed with leukemia. He is doing fine and is going through the chemotherapy as you are. He and our family have gone through the gamut of emotions that I know you guys are too familar with. He keeps his sense of humor about it as you do also, which is good for him and us. I don't know if I notice it more but it is amazing how many people I am finding that are affected by cancer.
Don't worry about the hair it will be back before you know it. (I wish I could say the same about me, Breanna is starting drive and I am losing what little I have.)
Keep up your positive attiude it is inspiring. Wanted you to know we are thinking about you. Bill.

  3. Hi Bill, Mary and Breanna,
Thanks for the wonderful note. It is incredible to find out the number of families that are touched with cancer in some form or another. I will continue to pray for your brother and your family.

As far as the hair, I just tell the guys at work, at least my hair will grow back. Most of them laugh!!

I can't believe Breanna is getting ready to drive!! That's amazing. Before you know it she'll be going to the prom, etc. Kelly, Sharon's niece was married the end of June.

We miss you guys and appreciate you staying in touch. Send pics when you can, we would love to see a new one or two.

Take care. Hugs to all of you.
    Rhonda

  4. Hi Bonnie and Salah,
Glad you also joined us. We will post some more pictures this weekend of all the knitted wear. Which sounds kind of silly in itself considering it's over 100 every single day.
Glad you are doing well. Hugs to you both.
    Love,
    Rhonda
